Finally fired up the powdercoating for the first time

First time using a powdercoat gun and first time actually putting something in the oven since I built it.
I was all worried that all the effort I put in was just going to be a big disappointment but boy was I wrong.
Doublechecked the instructions on the gun, fired up the oven.
Just powdercoated some brackets for the beams in the sunroom project as well as a sawblade sign that’s just been collecting dust in the shop.

Powder seemed to go on nice and smooth, put it in the oven and less than an hour later they were done. Oven heated them to temp withn about 20 minutes of putting them in and baked them for 20 min at 375.
Finish came out great for a first timer I think. Really excited to do more now!

The rough areas on the sawblade are underlying wear and corrosion. These blades are well-worn from Kaiser cutting aluminum billets with them.

Is that a hyper smooth gun?

hypersmooth 03, yes

My research told me this was a good option for my price/performance intersection

I have one I have used for 3 years or so. Excellent machine. My only complaint is the hoppers. I switched to fluidized hoppers a year ago.
