Where is a great source to get some awesome files(free or paid)?
We just released FireShare two days ago: http://www.langmuirsystems.com/fireshare
We haven’t formally announced the release of it yet, but our goal is to have members of the community share their design files! It’s pretty sparse at the moment, but in a few months we hope that there will be a few thousands files ready to cut.
Google “DXF downloads” and you’ll find lots of them.
Steve Good (stevedgood.com) publishes a lot of nice scrollsaw patterns that with a bit of touch-up in Fusion or your design software should work well.
Dxfforcnc.com is good for files already setup for CNC machines.
Cnccookbook.com just started adding plasma ready files too.
The typical cleanup if any would be to make parts of the design thicker to account for the kerf of the plasma cut - my Crossfire has about a .06" kerf where my laser has a .007" kerf. The same files can be used but the laser ones can have thinner pieces because more material will be left.
Thank you for that information!
