File outside of cut path

When I load up file into fire control it sets the object outside the table beyond travel limits. I then have to select the object and manually move it onto the table in fire control. Any idea ? And hint by my name I am a fresh noob to this. Thanks in advance

When you set up that file or how that file was set up is the stock box point origin or the work origin is on the bottom left hand corner of the project.

When you home an XR machine it homes to the top left hand corner of the machine.

You’ll have to manually move down the torch head to a area that will fit the project and" zero all axis"

This will start the 0 point of your project with the newly established zero origin point of your table by hitting “zero all axis”.

Yes I set the stock box point origin in the bottom left. So since this piece is 6” long all I would have to do is move the torch head more than 6” on the Y axis, zero all axis, and the object will then “fit” on the table? And for in the future would setting the stock box point in the upper left be better? And thank you for deleting the other and thank you for the quick response!

Set up the cam software to top left origin, when you import cad part to cam move parts to top left origin before post process. Now when you open fire control will be top left origin of table.

No matter where you put your origin, you will have to move your torch to where you want that origin on the metal and zero the “work” axis in that location.

Once you have parts cut from your metal, this is how you will position your parts to cut from the remaining metal.

You can’t just start from the “home” position unless you know how to use work coordinate offsets.
