Extruding multiple segments as one

I’ve been trying to figure this out, but after many videos and forums I’m no further along. I downloaded a file from Plasmaspider and it has LOTS of line segments. I can’t seem to figure out how to join them, or at least extrude them so I’ll be able to easily select them when I’m in the CAM workspace. I’ve tried the Fill Gaps add in with no luck. Attached is a screen shot of just a single letter which is made up of 28 segments.

This is also discussed in another thread - it’s because the DXF is a polyline (or lwpolyline) export.

Here’s a way to solve the problem by using Inkscape to save the file before bringing it into Fusion that @PWCNC found.
