Tin helped me with a video on how I can design a sliding latch and already I cant even get my two circles to be constrained using the equal constraint. This is the first real thing I have tried to design. Any ideas? this should be very simple. I just want to constrain the two holes.
To fully constrain, you have to constrain the position of the holes as well. You can either put in a construction line or two and dimension to them or reference the origin both in distance and angle.
You will more likely have more parts then just the two circles so don’t give up just yet.
Right now each circle has a dimension so if you tried to constrain one to the other, it won’t work. Delete the one dimension amount. Then use the equal constraint to make it the same size as the first circle.
Thank you for the explanation. Yes there is more to do, I will have to watch the video another 10 times to get it all done.
I’m not a Fusion user, but the message at the top of the sketch window appears to indicate that this is a “read only” file. No modifications can be made to a “read only” file.
The rest of the message is the key. The sketch can be modified but it can’t be saved because the limit of 10 editable documents has been reached. In order to save, one of the 10 editable already saved just needs to be re-classified as read only.
This 10 editable document limit is part of the no cost version of Fusion 360. You can save as many as you like, but only 10 of them can be simultaneously editable.
Just for clarity here, I purposely opened 10 editable files. I too had the message that I had reached my limit. I then started a new design file. Fusion 360 allowed me to do anything I wanted in the new design: add, modify, delete.
It just would not allow the save command.
Yes I usually have ten things going on at once I have a lot in my folder that I have as read only then I move them back and forth between Editable and Read only. To many unfinished drawings.
