Did Fusion ever lose a design of yours? [SOLVED Problem was Nut holding the wheel...]

Yesterday I was working on a design that I derived from an earlier one. I had opened the original, saved it as another name and made a bunch of mods, some of which I downloaded 3D printables.

I opened Fusion this morning, and, of course, got the weekly fix update, and, when I finally got to do something useful, I looked for the new design…

Gone, not there, never existed… WTF! I did a search for all similarly named designed and it only listed the originals. SPD!

Anyone have an idea how to recover yesterday’s work?
It’s not tragic, I can do it all again, but CRAP!

Never mind…

I found it. I had uploaded an electronic component into another folder and apparently saved yesterday’s work into the same folder. Sigh…

I just had the same thing happen to me when I was looking for my torch laser pointer file. It was not where I expected and had you not posted earlier, I was going to try to recreate it.

That is really odd because I have not been saving files in the folder where I found it.

Well, it’s part of my job description, “Lead the way in F ups…” I think I’m doing a great job!

Actually, in a way, Fusion trips me up. Most of my software, if it tries to ‘remember’ where to put things, generally keeps that info with the file that’s being worked.

Fusion remembers the last thing it did independent of the file history. I suppose, at my age, I should be the LAST one to complain about remembering!
