Designed, cut, built a combo back-rest/package-rack for my ZX-14R

Designed, cut, and assembled a combo passenger back-rest & package platform. I used 3/16" for the structural bones and 1/8" thick steel for the logo surface and passenger back rest. I designed the parts with the slot & tab type so it would assemble in the correct positions. (I had to use about 0.030” clearance around the mating holes/slots due to the size of the kerf). I could have made it out of AL but didn’t want to spend the ridiculous price that AL plate has gotten up to. It is designed to mount to the “Bobbin” holes on the rear grip-handle (with 3D printed spacers), It is also held level by holding it also against the upper part of the grab-handle (that is underneath the package platform) with neoprene rubber pads. I still have to design and build the back-rest “Pad” that will mount to the back-rest structure. I think I will just paint it flat black since I did not have any bondo to fill in some of the package-surface defects. Weight came in at about 5 lbs.
