Are there any special things I should know while cutting 16ga copper sheet?
Does it act that much different than steel?
Copper sucks heat. You’ll need to run much slower. Here’s some feedback from plasmaspider:

I recently cut some 20 gauge sheet (0.032"). Here’s a video and my settings
TL;DW
40 amps (older Hypertherm Powermax 600)
regular consumables (newer Duramax torch)
175 IPM feed rate
0.15" pierce height
0.06" cut height
0.7 second pierce delay (probably could have been shorter)
Minimal dross, may have been able to use a faster feed rate but that’s what I used.
