Cuts larger than file

Using default Mach 3 Profile from https://www.langmuirsystems.com/downloads
Did not change motor tuning.
AutoCAD (in inches)
SheetCam tap (in inches)
SheetCam Machine Working Envelope set to X 25.3125" x Y 23.125"
Mach3 (in inches)
Mach3 using default profile from Langmuir downloads page

Test 6"x6" square… comes out a little over 7.5"

[Edit: Mach3 motor tuning is set to 16000 steps per on both X and Y as default from the downloaded setup.
Setting file scale in AutoCAD to 0.8 makes things a bit closer to reality.]

Thoughts?

On the SheetCAM screen does the imported dxf display as 6x6 or 7.5 on the grid?

Apologies for the delated response @Cletus… been swamped.
It shows up as 6x6 in the grid and edge ruler in SheetCAM.
Mach3 as well registers correct position to measurement on the preview when axis is moved, but physical placement on bed reflects incorrectly (too large).

Again, we used the defaults file that is posted on the Langmuir downloads site, and see no mention of need for adjustment. I assume those settings are correct to the motors and screws.

UPDATE
Mach3 motor tuning is set to 16000 steps per on both X and Y as default from the downloaded setup.

Mach3 CrossFire config is supposed to be set to 12800. You must have the wrong Mach3 config loaded.

Thank you. I’ll give it a go.

Not sure how that is possible though; since there is only the CrossFire one and the Plasma one (which “Plasma” named one is absolutely wrong with its 200 per).

@TomWS welp… that did it. Thank you so much. I wonder where the 16000 came from. Seems every time I download that file, that’s the number in there. Must be the xml on the site then.
