Is it possible to make where the touch screen amd the mini computer can be put on a separate work station like a mobile cart and wirelessly connect to cut table
There is wireless USB devices out there but I think they are more for printers, I’ve never seen anyone on here mention using one of these for the table.
The best way is remote desktop but unfortunately this will cost a mini pc. Leave a mini PC on the table, even in the control panel if there is space. Use your other computer and screen to connect the “table pc” with remote desktop.
I know some people replace the XR’s computer for their own setup, but that’s not what you’re asking.
If the XR’s controller is anything like the Crossfire and Crossfire Pro, then no because connecting your computer to the controller via USB provides power to the motion control board itself. The power supply in the control box is there to power everything else IE the drivers, motors, etc.
I guess what you could do is supply power separately to the controller via a USB cable and power supply (like a phone charger), but then there’s also the lack of communication to your computer.
