For some reason, when my crossfire PRO is cutting a diagonal line, it cuts in a zigzag. After it does this, it messes up the entire cut. In FireControl, it says that the program is running smoothly, and following the path but on the table, it is completely off.
The couplers between the stepper motors and lead screws are probably slipping and causing lost motion.
The software has no way of knowing where the torch actually is in relation to the cut path. It just knows how many steps it told the stepper motors to turn. If the coupler slips, the torch isn’t where it should be, but the software doesn’t know that and continues with the program.
