I have the small crossfire . I also have110 and 220 voltage available in garage. I am going to use the razorweld 45 plasma cutter that will use 220, the cnc table using 110. My question is the 110/220 switch in electronics box. It defaults to 110 but the instructions mention switching it if 220 is available in your area. What to I set it to.
If you are talking about the electronics enclosure that comes with the table, I would leave it on 110V and connect to 110 circuit.
I am not aware of people having issues with the table connected to 110V vs 220V. (But I am not aware of all things “plasma”). Perhaps the thought is the service ground is better isolated from the table when using 220v…total guess on my part. Perhaps one of the “Electronic Wizards” will weigh in on this. BigDaddy? Craig? Tin? Tom?
The 220 switch is for countries where the mains voltage is 220 for all outlets. In the US you should run it on whatever voltage you have available, which is usually 110v. As long as the switch position matches the voltage you are supplying, it doesn’t matter which you use.
The power to the plasma cutter is not related in any way to the voltage switch on the electronics enclosure.
