Can someone please post a picture o what the pin side of a correctly assembled plug looks like please? I hav my torch height and on off wiring figured out and the pins crimped and soldered on but can’t get the pins to protrude out the front of the plug. They get installed on the wires and inserted from the back of the plug, correct? Theres a shoulder on the pins and in the pin holes that limit the insertion. Perhaps they sent me the wrong pins.
What plasma cutter are we talking about here?
Powermax 45
Does it require a tool to push the pins into location?
There is a tool but you don’t really need it. There should be a couple of little “wings” or prongs coming out of the pin body. You need to push the pin in far enough for those to click into place. I either use a small screwdriver on the edge of the pin barrel where those wings/prongs are. Or I’ll use a small needlenose pliers and straddle the wire and push on both sides of the barrel.
Thanks for the pics! I was sent the wrong pins. Once I reset with the correct parts it went together easily. Tomorrow is the day its gets fired up for the first time.
