My brother-in-law wants me to cut 1/8” copper bus bars.
It there anything I should consider cutting copper? How does it cut, settings?
I have hypertherm 45x

I cant be much help, never cut copper but I found this video to be very informative. May help in some way.

I didn’t have a lot of material to do much dialing in.
Hypertherm powermax 45xp at 45 amps, 90 psi.
.125 thk Cu, .150 Pierce @ .75 sec, .060 cut @ 50 IPM, Std Tip.
Adjusted to
.125 thk Cu, .150 Pierce @ .6 sec, .060 cut @ 60 IPM, Std Tip.
The holes were better at 50 Ipm. They cut undersized with a lot of taper either way. The perimiter cut oversized with expected bevel.
The dross came off very easily.
