Charges to cut customer steel

Hi all,

With prices of everything going up, I was curious what people are charging to cut customer bought steel. I get sheets sheered to my dimensions delivered to my shop. But how do you come up with a price for cutting? I’m doing 16” letters for a large sign. The charges I’ve seen by the linear inch of cutting were based on the cutter supplying steel.

The way I charge. I charge .03 a second for machine time, .20 per pierce some time I wave that fee then charge to finish. Then if I supply material I double my cost.
