Cannot jog after DEMO version of Mach3 stopped

I ran the demo version without noticing I hadn’t loaded my license. I got the license in the Mach3 folder and now I’m licensed but the X and Y are locked where it quit and I cannot jog to run the setup program

I don’t think it had anything to do with demo version. The setup program is quite small. Still cannot jog or do any movements with any program but the X and Y do show movement as does the screen showing torch movement.

Have you hit the big reset button in Mach 3? Mine won’t move until I get that reset

Yes, I tried that numerous times. Not sure what else to try. Been emailing mach3 support

Hi @paulaiken

Sorry to hear youre having this issue. Can you double check that you have the motion control plugin and the CrossFire configuration installed?

I just reloaded all the Mach3 software and still no movement! The screen shows movement but nothing happens with the cutting table. The break in program ran for a while and ended somewhere other than X0Y0.

@paulaiken When you re-installed Mach3 did you make sure to uninstall the software using Windows Add/Remove program functionality? If you just deleted the folder and files that will not be sufficient to remove any of the previous settings. We recommend doing a complete factory uninstall of the software and re-installing with the CrossFire V1.1 plugin and profile according to our tutorial videos.

Do you run Mach3 by clicking on the crossfire icon?

I don’t have crossfire icon, just mach3

I looked inside elec cabinet and there are NO lights on the X or Y controllers. Just a USB light. To reiterate, the setup program was running, feed stopped somewhere in XY away from zero and not I cannot make any moves. FRUSTRATED

Hi Paul,

I responded to you on FB messenger, but wanted to circle back on here. Since there are no lights on the drivers or the power supply, and you dont get any buzzing noise out of the stepper motors, then it means that your power supply is no longer functioning. We will get a new one sent out to you this morning.

Thanks, sure hope that does it.

Finally got the power supply on Saturday. Got it installed and ran the setup program all the way through this time. Thank you. Will be moving on to the next phases of setup. Do you want the old power supply back?
Paul

Thanks for circling back. We don’t need to get the power supply back!

I’m having a similar issue. Not getting any movement when pressing arrows, just a hissing sound from both stepper motors, but no movement.

If you are getting buzzing from your stepper motors, then the motor drivers are getting power from the power supply (which means it is functioning properly).

Have you installed the motion control plugin and the CrossFire configuration?
