Can I use Corel Draw to create graphics?

Does anyone know if I can use Corel Draw to do my design work instead of Fusion 360? I’ve been using it for years and Corel allows for exporting DXF files.

Thanks!

Yes, you can use any program that you can export a dxf or svg.

Welcome fellow Coreller :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m an old Corel guy too. I use it for my laser work and any 2D designs.

Still need to use Fusion to do the pathing for Mach 3 so I may switch my workflow to Fusion for Crossfire design too. With the Shopbot I just use VCarve for design because I have to do the tool path setup in there so it just was easier to learn the software and use just one for the machine rather than a design package, a tool pathing package and a control app. Less chance for things to be lost in translation as well.

So I’m tempted to keep using Corel for the Crossfire but thinking I may end up just biting the bullet and going full Fusion for it.

Thank you James. Do you know of any youtube videos that show converting a dxf to tool path. Sorry, I am totally new to the whole CNC thing.

The videos are on the Langmuir website and are very good.
