Cam Bam Tool Path Issues

I am having a issue with the torch not shutting off when it’s doing movements to the next cut position. I went in and looked at the G-Code and saw that there isn’t any M3/M5 codes when generated. What am I missing? I would hate to add the m3/m5 codes to every part.

Are you using Fusion 360 to generate the tool paths?

Edit: Just reaized that ‘CAM BAM’ is the CAM software. I am not familiar with that software, but you will need to find or create a post processor that is made for cnc plasma cutting with Mach3.

Are you set to 4t on the plasma? you should be on 2t

Where do I check for the 2T?

Should be on the front panel of your plasma unit. 2T means it turns on when you pull the trigger & off when you let go. 4T turns on or off when you pull the trigger. For long manual cuts 4T lets you relax your index finger. But on a CNC it would still be burning as the head travels to the next cut.

The Razorcut 45 has a soft touch switch on the upper left front to toggle between the two settings.

My issue is Cam Bam doesn’t generate a on/off code when converting to G-code. And It thinks there is a Z axis. I will keep plugging at it and try to find out what I am missing

It is likely that you will need to generate a post that has the M3/M5 commands as well as the G4s for pierce delay.
