Hi All. I am trying to decide whether to buy an OG Crossfire table off of FB now or to wait and see if Langmuir has a Black Friday sale on the current gen Crossfire table. I don’t need a plasma cutter, just the table. I’m looking for input. Does Langmuir usually have a Black Friday sale on the Crossfire table? Are they any big drawbacks to getting the OG table that requires the MACH3 software? Thanks.
There are still many that run the OG table with Mach 3 - it’s basic and simple to use so that’s a plus, but so is Firecontrol.
The downside to Mach 3 is that you’ll need to retro fit your own kit if you ever wish to add Z axis/torch height control as it isn’t offered as a direct plug and play setup from Langmuir.
The other one being that, if you’re not provided a Mach 3 license, you’ll also have to purchase it to run more than a certain number of lines of code.
Can’t recall what Langmuir did for BF, but they have a sale just about every other week or two on their tables.
I bought mine new (no sale) and had no regrets. Then I bought another, and no regrets.
