Brand, brand new to the CNC world

Hello everybody,
I’m about 3/4 of the way through assembling my Crossfire Pro and I wanted to ask if you guys had any pointers…things you would’ve done differently…things you wish you’d have known…things that caught you off guard, etc.

Also…I’m most likely going the route of a mini PC so advice welcome.

Thank you everybody. I’m glad to be a part of this group and super excited for this new chapter in my life.

Welcome to the jungle… What plasma cutter are you going to use? The mini pc is a great choice for the table only. Make sure you buy a N100 chip in the mini. It has no power saver features and will work well.

Thank you.
I’ll be running a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 42.

That’s a good candidate. I’m not sure of the Hookup of the THC voltage. Raw voltage is always the best, in my opinion. I don’t believe that it has CNC connection. Raw voltage is your only option anyway.

Welcome to the forum!

I am not sure if this is the same model but was listing for “Thermal Dynamics” in the Langmuir post for “Wiring guides for commonly plasma systems”

This is another post and specifically mentions “Cutmaster 42”:

Very nice, Jimmy… you must have gotten a 20 TB hard drive like the TinMan.

Nope. Most of it is bookmarks on the forum.
