Was just wondering if you generally use a bigger nozzle for cutting aluminum? The new nozzle tips I have work great on steel but after cutting 2 small pieces of 1/8” aluminum the nozzle was trash and the arc was cutting at an angle. Maybe it’s just user error? There was quite a bit of debris on the nozzle tip after cutting
spray the tip with mig anti spatter spray and that helps keeping things stick to it.
tips are based on office size (aka amperage) doesn’t really matter what you are cutting
I suspect you may be cutting too low or too high.
Ahhh I will give that spray I try. Well the tips I have are .8 mm which are rated to a max of 35 amps (from info I have found) so I went ahead and ordered some 1.0mm tips which are rated to 50 amps. I’m going to try them and see how they do
