I am trying to connect this BestArc 500xp to my new table. It said CNC capable, came with the connectors, so i spliced #2 & #3 torch switch red wires to red wire on langmuir torch on/off cable and #4 & #5 start cutting black wires to the black wire on the langmuir cable. Ran it from the langmuir box torch on/off and screwed into the 5 pin connector on the bestarc. Torch wont work when running program? If i disconnect the cable it fires manually? Thanks for any info
From what I read you should only need pins 1 and 2. To test this turn everything on and jump 1 and 2 to see if the torch fires.
You’re probably better off going from the inside and find the 2 torch fire wires coming from the torch and tap into those.
Well the manual states something different then what is printed on the back of the plasma cutter. So if the manual is right then you jump 2 and 3 to make the torch fire.
Langmuir tables don’t use an “ok to move” signal, so you only need two of those pins to fire the torch.
As George said, jump across 1&2 or 2&3 and see which combination fires the torch.
Those two pins will get connected to the two wires from the Langmuir cable. It doesn’t matter which wire goes to which pin.
