CHANGELOG
Removed bug where changing Backgauge coordinate names would propagate the name to other items in the list.
Removed bug where Backgauge coordinate names would not be visible until selecting another item in the list.
Removed bug where occasionally rearranging the order of bends would result in random items being swapped.
Allow user to scroll through a program while it is running. Also the menu will automatically scroll to the current bend (highlighted in red).
Let me know if you run into any bug or issues with the new update!
Thanks for the bug report. I will let the software team know. The machine does have a 5 minute save cycle on some items - so if you input something and turn off the machine before the 5 minutes pass, it will not save the item into long term memory. Do you think that was the case with your situation?
The machine was on for several hours after changing the names. I checked today with the change I made yesterday, and only the first name on the list was saved. To test it, I entered several names again today, waited at least 15 minutes, turned the machine off and back on, and all the names on the list were there. I then waited almost two hours, turned it off and on, and only the first name on the list remained. If this happens after an hour, it is probably related to the automatic backups. Later, I’ll try to see if the manual backup saves the backgauge information so that at least that data can be recovered.
Okay. Thanks for the update on that. I’ll pass the info on. For now you should be able to force-save the back gauge names by creating a backup file on the machine.
@langmuir-sam, we attempted to save a restore point to the USB drive, but unfortunately, it didn’t save. We followed the instructions below from the assembly manual:
C. Save Restore Points to USB Drive
A backup can be saved to a USB drive via the Backup & Restore menu. By selecting the icon, a menu will open, allowing you to choose your USB drive to save your restore point.
Is there any additional information or steps we should follow to successfully save the restore point to the USB drive?
Yes, we recently updated our system to version 24.1.23. During the process, we cycled the power off and on, testing different time intervals for powering down the system after turning it on. We also annotated the 5-minute save cycle for certain items. However, in all cases, the entered names are no longer being saved
