Basic shapes library

Ever see that show Gold Rush with Juan and Freddy? Juan has a portable lincoln plasma cutter in his trailer which I thought was pretty cool. I’ve noticed in the Lincoln software there is a library of pre-defined shapes in the cutting software that can be quickly edited, like a circle, square, rectangles etc w.out having to design them.

Does Sheet Cam or Firecontrol have this capibility? If not I guess you’d just make a series of shapes and store them, 2x2, 3x3 squares etc…

Sheetcam does this.

Sheetcam has a shapes library and you can edit them by changing the dimensions and adding other shapes, like adding holes to a plate.

These are the currently available shapes:

Fusion could easily be setup for variable size shapes by using user parameters. You would need to draw each shape to generate a library. Once done, open the shape, change the parameters, go to manufacture and generate G-code.

Not quite as simple a SheetCam’s built in features, but effective.

You can resize/scale in fire control. However your hole diameter would scale with it.
