I just finished wiring up my machine and went to jog the X and R Axis. I get motion on both the X1 and R1 motors but no motion on either X2 or R2 when I jog either the X or R axis.
I went through to verify motors are landed correctly to the back panel, that the connections to the back gage assembly were landed correctly and that their were no issue with potential incorrect mapping of the wires onto the phoenix connectors. Everything checks out.
The only other thing I can think to try is disconnect the motors and probe the connectors for continuity.
I’m having the same problem with R1 on our new 25T. We think the backlash nut is the issue. With power off, the lead screw is nearly impossible to spin by hand.
I loosened the coupler all the way up on the acme thread side until I could spin it by hand. Tried motion and could see the couplers spinning. So, mechanical binding. After tightening the coupler back on I suspected the tightness of the nut on the end of the acme thread so I loosed these until I could spin the shaft by hand… voila, problem solved
