My machine has started saying there are back gage and machine firmware updates (new version for both says 1.2, current back gage is 1.1ls and machine is 1.1). I’ve clicked on update for each, and by all appearances it goes through the steps without issue and then tells me that it finished successfully but there is one problem… After each of the respective controllers restarts and reconnects, they are each still on the old version, so the update button just reappears and says there is an update again.
@langmuir-sam, any insight you can share about this? Are there any release notes for the new 1.2 firmware to highlight what has been changed / fixed? How should this update be done in order to have it stick? Possible issue on the website linking to the wrong firmware files when updating over wifi? Anywhere we can get the files to update manually if updating over wifi isn’t working correctly?
The software version, backgauge firmware, and base machine firmware are all on different version numbers. There are no new updates for the backgauge or base machine firmware, only for the base machine software.
The most up to date software is on version 1.3.

@langmuir-sam Understood that the version numbers don’t align, I was just saying that I was prompted by the UI that there were updates available for both the back gage and the machine that said they would be updated to version 1.2. I’m already running software version 24.1.3.
Unfortunately, after allowing the machine to apply the update, now my back gage is not working properly. Only the left side motors are working, it will not even attempt to home, and it shows nothing as far is inputs for the homing switches, so the update the UI presented messed something up.
Where can I get the firmware images to do a local re-flash of the back gage (and possibly the machine controller if it starts acting weird as well). The UI has local reflash options, so procedure shouldn’t be needed, just the firmware bin files.
I think that is a glitch that corresponds to a faulty wifi connection. I will message you links to the update files.
