Hey all. So ive been using Fusion 360 for last couple years now and just a few days ago while signing in it asked for a verification code. Unfortunately i just learned that the email those verification codes are being sent to i no longer have due to accidentally losing my domain. So i cant sign in. Trying to get assistance with Autodesk however it keeps prompting me to sign in… which in turn requires the verification code which i cant get. Anybody have any number or somewhere i can call to get a hold of support at Autodesk? Ive used the 360 forum numerous times to over last couple years so i have a presence there as well… Unfortunately just cant sign in despite using my password due to not having the code. Thanks for any help
415-507-5000, good luck. I hope you can understand broken English with a Pakistani accent. That number is from about 2020. It probably still works. They want you to use their robot customer service first.
Like I said, good luck
There must have been a notification of this but as of June 19, 2025 you now need to have a two-step verification set up to get into the account online:
AutoDesk Notification:

Technical Support
Issue:
It is not possible to sign in to Autodesk Account using Two Step Verification due to one of the following reasons:
- The mobile device is not available to receive the verification message.
- The mobile device number is outdated / incorrect and needs to be changed.
- The page is looping back to the Sign In page after entering the six digit code sent via SMS.
- The individual does not receive code for two step verification using email method.
- The email address receiving the two step verification code is no longer active.
Solution:
UPDATE: Autodesk is retiring support for SMS/voice in the 2-step verification process. Switch to use of an authenticator app instead. For details, see Security and privacy setting.
For SMS method change the phone number for the Two-Factor-Authentication procedure
- Log in to the Autodesk Account Profile.
- When asked to enter the code sent to the incorrect/outdated phone number, select “USE ANOTHER METHOD”.
Me again:
So when I tried to sign on, they made me enter a code that was sent to my email. Once I got in, I set up two step verification. If you don’t have an authenticating app I recommend “VIP Access”. Currently it works everywhere and was recommended by Social Security Administration.
If you have Microsoft Authenticator, be aware that they are discontinuing that app later this year so don’t count on that one. I have that one as well and it is associated with my Microsoft acct. I would expect/hope when it is no longer supported, they help me migrate that acct. to VIP Access. (I think I will try that now!)
(Edit: (Correction) Microsoft Authenticator is ending its password management tool. The Authenticator will continue to work for 2-step verification)
Edit: That was simply to add my Microsoft acct to the VIP Access app. Log into Microsoft acct, security, give a new security app to use, Microsoft generated a QR code, Open VIP Access and scan the code…the rest is pretty easy to follow.
I never have any issues. Just hit the icon, and Fusion is up and running on any of the 4 computers in the shop. I have never been asked to use a two step verification. Weird??
I have not had it happen when I open Fusion 360 but when I switch between computers and need to close it in another computer, it will cause me to open Fusion 360 by first going thru the account thru a web browser. Then it will allow you to go to the actual app and continue to open it.
I had a request for the Authentication Code once about 4-6 weeks ago. Fortunately, it was just a few days after I received an email with the 8-character authentication code. I have it saved but have not been asked again since that initial request.
I have never been asked as of yet. My Fusion is a paid version. I wonder if that is the difference?
Probably they know better than mess with Bigdaddy!
Could be. I have the “poor boy” version.
I did recently notice something nice about the non-commercial account: auto renewal. I received a notice for the “30 day countdown” for need for renewal. However, it seems to have been an automatic process this time. I’m several months past that notice.
Same here.
I have the unpaid version. When signing in on a new computer or being a while between sign ons I have been texted a verification code.
