There’s a new opensource project called Artcraft from a group called StoryTold. They have a github repo where they are publishing an opensource version of Adobe Photoshop (photocraft) and Ilustrator (vectorcraft). It’s early and the software is not ready for serious use yet, but it’s moving fast. I just did a round trip of an .ai file (illustrator) into SVG with no problems.

Vector Craft:
There’s a CAD app as well and DFX compatibility. Could be a game changer. No subscription, scriptable, and has agent hooks for AI tooling. I’m impressed so far - will be following with interest…might want to keep an eye on this project.
