Art Metal Sculpture Commissions

will the final have exposed nuts?

No it will not. I think we might get some brass and lathe up something up. Or potentially some acorn nuts.

I just used that hardware to mock up the spacing.

My business partner made some headway with assembly and material finishes. This project’s working towards completion.

It’s also a lot heavier than it looks .I cut out and filled up the base with plates to use as ballast.

Your welding looks fantastic. Is that you or your business partner work?

I’d say Definitely a quality team!

My business partner does the welds. I can weld but not as good as him.

Looks nice :+1: I think if its going to be outdoors I would add a lattice style support to the back of the main upright to keep it from flexing.

Thank you.

This one has a place in a house.

I originally wanted to do a lattice up the back as well but I was overruled.

I need to remember this for future use, I like it!

You should have sent me a note. I could supplied you one of my wife’s suitcases for that purpose. Her carryon is heavier than the weight limit for the big suitcases. I nearly dropped it on this last trip trying to put it in the overhead compartment.

As for the sculpture: Superb!!! That welding was done by a savant.
