Sorry, I haven’t been following along day by day. How did you form these? Rolling mill, sheet roller, mallet/pillow? Stainless?
You ever watch Karl at Make It Custom -
The stainless that we ran through it was way over capacity for this machine but you got to do what you got to do.
Don’t be. I’m happy you have interest in the project. This topic will be here when you get the time.
Yes. The two truncated cone sections and the fish are stainless steel. We plan on heat treating the thinner cone to turn it blue. This will be a public art piece so we made those truncated conical sections replaceable if they get damaged.
I haven’t, but from the few minutes I’ve watched of that link I better start.
Very nice, TinMan. You’re turning into a bit of a Renaissance man.
You got that right.
I love this project, your creativity and carefully looking at every little detail. You can’t send enough photos for me. ![]()
“Fortitude” and “Shapeshifter” just about ready for the texture black powder coat.
My business partner has been doing a hell of a nice job of assembly and post processing.
And you’re going to pop with that powder on it
I am starting to think the artist/designer is going to need to put all of your names as “The artists” on these productions.
Outstanding
These all look like they belong in @72Pony 's backyard! His dramatic backdrop merely highlights the isolated form of these sculptures.
Erik, for a price (reasonable, I’m sure), you could add these to your landscape! PM TW and order some.
Great job, TW!
I couldn’t afford them.
You don’t need to, they are public art pieces.
These are moving and inspirational, thanks.
First I have to say thanks to all on this forum. Tin you have inspired me to try and do more than dinosaurs as yard art. This is great stuff. I do question weather you really have a business partner you never mention them by name, do they really exist are are they in your head
The details are top notch from the art itself to the lifting lugs.
Yes, I agree. Post a TinMan team picture so we can see if he is a real partner with a nuclear welding certification. 4 days off, I am going to go bat sh#t crazy. Not the @CrazyCasey type either. ![]()
Tin man is very mysterious, there are lots of things we can only wonder about.
I will guess that you will all be disappointed with your request for a team picture. He has already posted one once and everyone seems eerily clones of each other:
That’s more like it.
You’re welcome.
Thank you that’s quite a compliment.
Believe it or not my name is not tinwhisperer in real life.
“Well! I’ve often seen a cat without a grin, thought Alice; but a grin without a cat! It’s the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!”

I like that One Piece axe.

Any One Piece fans out there?
Looking at it I should pull it out and actually finish it, leather wrap the handle. I guess more of a club than an axe. Maybe some copper vein powder coat? Maybe if I get a break from working every freaking day and weekend.
Another sculpture piece, perhaps?
