When I import my design into fire control from my folder. I try to set the starting edge, but it wants zero to the preset edge. My design be between the white lines. I’m using fusion 360.
I’m a new user to Fire Control but can’t you just jog the torch over to where you want it to start and Zero all axis?
You mean the origin point?
Just click it, and choose one of the green boxes on screen to manually set it.
Thank that work. I try a difference drawing, and I didn’t have any problem.
Thank again
Based on how the drawing was taken thru manufacturing you are counting on the “SetUp” having the “Origin” based on the bottom left. That would be determined on this screen. If not changed, this origin will be in the center:
Here the “Origin” is changed to the bottom left:
When you import your gcode into FireControl, you might get in the habit of always checking or setting the “Program Origin”. The torch should also be located at the spot that would represent that ‘program origin’ on the metal, zero all axes at this spot and it will set the “Work Zero” to be that spot.
Before starting the cut you should go to “Work Zero” and confirm that the Program Origin is at that same spot.
You know what’s funny? In the +2 years I’ve been doing this, I never once changed anything in the first tab you show there.
I always use origin point to determine my start as the sheet of metal on the table isn’t always a new sheet.
Same here.
