Air variable capacitor for radio work

All,

Here’s an air variable capacitor I just completed for use in Amateur Radio. I used my
Langmuir Systems plasma table to cut out all of the vanes for the stator and rotor in
0.05" aluminum. I’m using the XP45 torch with the Viper Cut at 28amps for this operation. The Crossfire does an exceptional job with this thickness of aluminum. Zero dross and just a tiny touch up with a drill on the holes.
