Is it possible to use the consumables that comes with the hand torch or do I need to get something different.
@Heath The standard Hypertherm 45XP consumables for the hand torch will be all that you’ll need to cut with the CrossFire. If you find that you’re wanting to do a lot of detailed artwork in sheet metal you might have better cut resolution with the Fine Cut consumables that Hypertherm offers.

If it’s your first time using a plasma cutter, you might want some spare eltrodes and tips. It’s easy to over power or to mess up the starts and leave your electrodes with ganky orifices. They’re not super expensive and you can get a couple of sizes for high & low power cutting. Then if you need a replacement you’re not sitting waiting or running around looking for extras.
You’re going to want to have extras anyway as the lifespan is measured in hours of actual arc-on time cutting and gets reduced by Pierce cuts, high amps and thicker metals (& probably most, your air dehydrator - wet air kills consumables).

I agree with the fine cut consumables for fine detail. I have the 30xp and was pleasantly surprised with the definition achieved with the fine cut consumables.
