3D scanner ( does anyone have one) that works

That was my secret wish for the new Bambu printer: having a built in 3D scanner.

But alas, No.

Craig was doing some pretty neat scanning for his lathe that he set up.

My lathe retrofit came with an under-powered spindle motor. He used a Clearpath motor in the retrofit which is not going to work with steel. I started scanning the lathe with my new Einstar. [20240119_144318] [Annotation 2024-01-19 144126] Scan looks awesome. There’s definitely a scanning learning curve. Fortunately, I have what I need to mount a larger 3PH motor on the lathe.
