i am wondering other then basic cleaning what should i do to keep my table and screws,motors etc in good condition.
The machine requires relatively little maintenance. You should wipe the rails down before and after each use. Before each use, I recommend checking for backlash by lightly pushing and pulling on the torch carriage in both directions and adjusting the bearing preload if required. If the lash is not in the carriage bearings, check the lead nuts, lead screw couplers, or lead screw bearings.
Is there a video on checking the backlash, or adjusting preload? I noticed a couple of my bearings are not actually touching the gantry rail, as well as the upper rail. Also wondering how often or if those bearings need lubed? thanks!
