Recently had a motion control board fail and Langmuir promptly sent me a replacement. Before the issue it had ran fine for a year. After replacing the board the X axis is having a difficult time turning the lead screw. I loosened the couplers and disconnected lead screw and in jog motor will turn for a while and then occasionally stall. When the lead screw attached its hit and miss (usually miss). One odd thing is occasionally that if I jog X+ it will go the correct direction if I stop and jog X+ again it will go the opposite direction. will do the same in X- as well. Any thoughts?
i have recently ran into this problem. for mine the connection from the motor into the control box was loose. the two screws in the side were not fully tightened. after i tightened those two it worked fine. hope this helps.
