What hydraulic leaks have you found?

My brake has been sitting for 4-5 weeks and I see its leaking Hyd fluid. When I fist got it everything was soaked and I got most of it cleaned up and it was good for 7-8 months.
The first leakage I figured was from shipping, but now I am not so sure.
Anyone else have a leak while just sitting? I will pull the top off and see if I can see anything, but thought I would see if anyone else has had a leak while just sitting.

Mine has a minimal leak inside. I’ll be damned if I can find it. If I did, I would have to spend 15 hours moving wires and hoses.
It is definitely not a tidy installation. When I first opened the top to change the SD card, I said to myself, “Holyshit.”

Ya I thought I was one of the lucky ones and my leak was just spillage. Hard to believe so many people having leaks on such a simple set up.

It looks like a spaghetti diner inside. HaHa

Just can’t make you guys happy.

You want it to boot up, remember custom settings, simply work, have all the parts you ordered, no leaks (Hydraulics are fun that way) and all the wiring and hose routing done so it’s user friendly and serviceable. Jeeze.

This is because we are old and we were exposed to things that lasted forever and rarely needed service.
It’s a very different world

Now that you say that, it does seem like we want a lot doesn’t it :rofl::rofl:

No more than should be expected for any piece of equipment.

Granted you did not pay 5 figures for it, but getting something that looks like a prototype rather than a production machine…Yeah, I’m on your side on this. @Bigdaddy2166 brake, that was the first, or one of. They should have cleaned up the innards and since tech is phone or email only, made the access better for the end user.

I wonder if they are making improvements as they move forward or not. Seems like a lot of the same problems still exist.

5 figures :thinking:I paid over 8 and I have 10 into this now… and if it doesn’t bend parts it’s worth ZERO…actually less than zero, because it costs me valuable time repeatedly homing, adjusting, squaring, reentering settings and names for this thing called a back gauge.
We unwillingly signed up as free double blind beta testers and problem solvers for a prototype machine.
The headaches and frustration this machine has brought into my shop is truly not worth it at this point in time. If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t.
The tipping point for me is not knowing who runs the back end, who is the person that initiates changes to both the hardware and software…are they going to fix this :poop: or not…no one knows and it could be a year or 3 before anything is fixed, if at all.

Send me a message at support@langmuirsystems.com and I can get you all sorted out. Probably just a leak around the PRVs that you can fix at home but we will have to look into it.

oof. Fair. We do have it properly booting up quickly and reliably, avoiding memory corruption, and not leaking at this point, but I do sympathize with the launch units. If anyone is having any of those issues, message me and I can get you the information and if necessary, parts to get that fixed up.

Easy now. Don’t raise the bar too high. I still want to be able to afford one of these on the cheep some day. hahaha I’m still watching from the sidelines on this one.

Hey, I’m always on board with buying somebody’s used POS that they can’t get to work right.

Most the time when I see things it’s operator error that’s causing it, or a simple fix that this requires a wee bit of patience and working with the manufacturer.

Bear in mind I pay 33% or less on somebody’s used POS. The seller says it’s a POS, if I’m buying a POS I’m not paying retail.

I thought you were out of room?

problem is none of us paid 33% or less

No, you bought new retail.

Frustrated people claim a thing is a POS and want it gone. That is where I might step in.

I am. This would replace one of the HF 20 presses, and either half a work bench or get rid of it…and it would still be overcrowded - big footprint, narrow space.

So far I have really liked my machine. I am not very good at it yet, however, I am getting better and doing some more complicated bends. I will try to post my most complex part…
