Thanks for posting Johnson, forgot about this file so I’m going to download it and try it myself since I’ve got transparent PLA on hand. An upgrade from my own enclosure ![]()
Tin, I originally used the step files, I pulled the m3f and reprinted the cover. The logo is there but I only have a textured build plate, I think it would work better with a smooth finish. I’ll see what I can do about maybe changing the color of the logo. I’ve not messed with that type thing yet.
Thanks again for the files and guidance.
I used a textured plate on mine. It’ll be interesting how it comes out with a smooth plate. You’re welcome, make sure you post it when you’re done
I know Tin could explain this better, but since I have more time on my hands than he does, here are a few tips on that model.
-
As he said, if you download the 3mf file, he has it all laid out for you. Where you might run into issues is when you sync your printer filaments, they are likely in a different order. But here is how Bambu Studios imports his file.
-
Now if you import the STEP file, make sure to get the one that says it has the clear lid. It is the larger file:
-
When you import that step file, the image is going to be face down and likely to have all colors the same. You will need to look up from the bottom of the bed to see the front surface. If they are all the same color (highlight “object” vs “global” to see individual object details):
-
So all you need to do is click on the object and type the number that represents the color you want and then the colors will change and you will be able to see the logo.
Now notice, when I turn my plate over, even though I have changed the colors, the logo is not visible:
That is where the Tin Man is beyond most mortal’s abilities: he has found a color that does not exist. Transparent!!! His model shows the logo on both sides since he has an actual “transparent” designation for the filament color.
Thanks Jim, I didn’t even notice it did a color change with red! I have some playing around to do with this. I do have red filament so I can give it a try later tonight.
Once again, thanks to all for the assist. I’ll post a pic when I get it mastered..

Tinman, Jim, here’s the final product! Turned out perfect. I’ve got a lot to learn on the Bambu Studio. I didn’t know it had SO many different features.
Hi sir, I am sorry I have not responded sooner. I’ve been offline a fair amount with work travel. Let me know what you think you would want for it and I can probably arrange sending you a label if you want to box it up. I’ll just need the weight and the location where it is shipping from. You can send me a private message and I’ll get it sorted. Thank you!
Just shoot me your Addy, I’ll send it to you. I have a spare (don’t ask…) but they work fine for offline stuff like this. I haven’t figured out how to send a personal message on this forum.
