Units of measurement Inch and mm

I hope someone can understand my question I don’t have all the terminology down.

The back story. Back in the beginning of getting my machine (Cross Fire Pro), I remember reading somewhere in the instructions that said to set everything up in Inches. Well, I did not do that. I wanted to work in mm. I know my Fusion is set up to default in mm. I am also aware that you can change that on the fly in Fusion.

I am having a torch height problem. I am struggling to understand post processing, and particularly the setup in Fusion. The section where you set the torch height. On that page, you can pick your measurement. But I think that when I pick mm, it is still asking for torch height in Inches. Is that correct?

So I guess I want to know is through the Post process, when entering the recommended values that Langmuir suggests do I need to convert the values given to mm, then add them or in the case of the torch height put it in inches. I am not sure when to do what. My logic said to convert. Also, are there settings in Fire Control for measurement that I am forgetting?

So did a sample mixing inches and mm. I first made the sketch in inches and midstream changed the units to mm. It seemed to make the switch appropriately.

Now I told Fusion to change my units to mm. Here is what happened:

I then went to Manufacturing and picked my tool, which is in inches. But when I got to the final page for Post Processing I told it I wanted mm.

In the Post Processing page, be sure to have the units in “millimeters”, notice that I still have the pierce height and cut height in inches.

Now look at the G-code. It has the metric determination of “G21” and Cut height and pierce height are reflecting metric numbers, not inches.

So it looks like it works pretty good.
