Torch Quit Firing

Hello all. I read the forum often but this is my first post.

I have been cutting pretty regularly for about 3 months. Yesterday, I had 12 jobs to cut and successfully cut 11. On the 12th, torch wouldn’t fire…just air blowing. After a lot of messing around, I disassembled the torch head and found this.

It’s like it is melted. I cut with a ViperCut 30i and stock torch. I was cutting 18ga at 23 amps. Did I do this somehow? I had probably been cutting off and on for 2 hours at this point. About 2 weeks ago I did change consumables to some cheap ones from China. Could that have caused it? I have noticed water splashes up from the water table when cutting. Did that do it? I plan on buying a replacement torch, but trying to understand what happened so it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for any comments!

Edit…I found where other users had the same problem and contacted Razorweld. Looks like water was the culprit.
