Torch keeps firing when moving between cuts

I just did my first test cuts and for some reason the torch doesn’t turn off when it finishes a cut and moves to the next one. Anyone know how to fix this?

Its also messing up on the circles a little bit by notching out a little groove as seen in the pic.

How do I fix this?? Im a complete noob.

Its 3/16 mild steel cutting at 85ipm and 45amps.

What cutter are you using? If it has a 2T/4T switch (like the Razorweld), put it on 2T so it turns off between cuts.

The “little groove” is likely you lead-in/lead-out. Set those so they are about twice the kerf (or 0.12) and shallow angle (60 degree). It’ll start the cut well away from the edge of the circle and slide into the arc.

I got the razordweld x45.

I was wondering what those switches were.
Im going to try that.
