Back to using my Crossfire after a year’s absence. This is the OG model. No THC. Running sheetcam and Mach 3. For some reason, when torch pierces, there seems to be an abnormaly long delay between pierce and torch moving. Pierce delay is .1 second (100 ms). No lead in or lead out. 200 ipm with fine cut sonsumables on 14ga. I don’t recall this being an issue in the past. Any help suggestions much appreciated. Thanks!
@ktkamm Welcome back to the Forum.
Any chance you could copy and paste the first 50 lines of code and post them here?
Is your Mach3 configuration set for Seconds, rather than Milliseconds on Dwell?
See Config->General Config “G04 Dwell in Milliseconds” is at the top of the right hand panel.
SheetCam may have also changed the way they handle the Delay time since you last used it.
It looks as though that was not checked. I have checked that box! Thanks. I did neglect to say I needed to purchase a new laptop since the old one fell of the ladder numerous times! This required reload of all the programs. Thanks for the quick reply!
I think Tom below figured out my issue. Thanks for getting back to me so quick!
As a follow-up, worked great. All back to normal. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Kieran
