I’ve been learning the ins and outs of Autodesk Inventor and noticed they have a tool option to preset for cutting. I have a Hypertherm 85x and typically use 45,65,85-amp tips. I was wanting to know how to preset the tool tips into the library, so I don’t have to constantly enter in the information. If there a link to where I can learn this or a video (prefer I’m a hands-on learner) I would very much appreciate it. Hopefully I’m not violating any forum rules and can get some directions to look at.
Manufacture
Manage → Tool Library
This is where you enter a list of tools labeled at your discretion, with the following information -
Feedrate
Kerf
Anything else such as pierce delay, cut height, pierce height, etc are all ignored as those values are used in the pop-up window when you Post Process
Ideally you want to perform some test cuts as even Hypertherm book settings won’t net you the best possible cut quality
Those cut charts are done on a downdraft system with more than ideal conditions - safe to assume you’re running a water table and that by itself makes a difference

Awesome thank you for the assistant. I’ve been toning in the cuts that work for the hypertherm.
