Maybe they fixed the need to unpower your laptop just so the poor isolation in the THC amplifiers aren’t disturbed by any unwanted or unexpected noise…

It’s been available since last December.
You seem to be confusing the THC firmware version with the Post Processor version. Current THC firmware is v1.10 and the current Post Processor version is v1.6.
