THC not maintaing torch height

Literally grounding a table does not seem like a good thing to me. The Work Clamp, which is shorted to the table via the material and slats IS the current sense lead for the Plasma Cutter electronics. Grounding this could affect the accuracy and reliability of that sensing for some Plasma cutters.

I should have been more clear. Not grounding the actual table but running the control box from a separate service grounded to a different rod separate from the shop power. This is probably the most expensive, time consuming and least desirable option… but I think it is an option? probably not worth even mentioning. I’ll omit that option in the future. Thanks Tom.
