Stainless change cut rates?

I’ve cut a bunch of mild 1/8" but about to cut my first 304 SS 1/8" sheet. Do I need to change anything about my setup when moving to SS? Slower cut speed or anything?

Hey bob, I’ll be picking up my stainless Friday and run a few test cuts to zero in on the percentage adjustment for SS and report back.

I’ve been around 10% slower speed and everything else the same as carbon steel. but I think there’s still improvement I could make

I test cut four 2" squares in the 1/8" 304 SS at different cut rates ranging from 90, 100, 105, 110.

At 40a with fresh tip and electrode, 100ipm resulted in the best edge.
