I cannot figure it out for the life of me, and this is the first time it has ever done this. I’ve re-done the cut path in 360 about 7 times now
It will start cutting just fine, and then on the perimeter it stops cutting it 3/4 the way through.
**Solution:
Make sure the plasma cutter is grounded. On my machine (hypertherm 30) it will auto shut off if it doesn’t detect a ground (auto shut off at about 5 sec of run time).
Nope. It’s supposed to be good for 500 lines.
You need the full version of Mach 3.
I had the same issue. 500 lines is literally nothing, it’s like a small shape.
Once i bought the license all my problems dissolved in this regard.
I tested another bracket that I know for sure worked before: the small version, a simple square with holes, worked just fine (think it’s about 2x2 in) but the longer one (5"x2") did the same thing. It stop 3/4 of the way on the outer perimeter. Torch stop running as the it continued to follow the correct path…double u teeeee efff
yea I hear you, and I’m going to get it shortly but why would my 5x2 bracket worked fine last week and today it doesnt…that’s what concerns me…but if you say that’s the “demo” version issue I guess I can understand, they probably don’t update that or has a bunch of bugs but doesn’t make me feel good that a demo version has buggs on a “square” simple bracket!
This cut just fine last week too and it has compound curves and 387 lines of codes:
I fixed it…I’m getting the “Friday tool award” today…I did have coffee this am…clearly I needed 3 more cups…
I did not ground my plasma cuter … thus it would detect no ground and cut off the torch at the 5 seconds mark (there about)

I’m glad you posted the resolution here. A lot of folks would have just went off and hid. But this will help a newbie that doesn’t know any better in the future with the same problem!
My number 1 pet peeve on forums are exactly what you mentioned: no resolution posted. I hate it and I try my best to always “close the thread” with a solution 
-even if I was the problem to start, like here today LOL -
The licensed version isn’t a new download - you just enter your license key and it unlocks the software to remove the line limit. It’s possible it does something else but pretty sure there aren’t any updates or bugs that are Demo version specific.
Can you go back and edit the original post and put an “UPDATE” line in it? I read this thread and was racking my brain what your issue was until I got down to your post with the solution
Nice when you solve a problem. I’m also using the Hyp xp30. I have been getting cut speeds dialed in with the fine tip. I will say, you have to run it much slower than they suggest.
