Skipping part of cuts

What could be the cause of this. In fusion it’s all connected, but I’m seeing this on some cuts. On the backside it doesn’t look like it even cut for 3 or 4 mm

Would you mind sharing your NC file for this project that is having failures.

And when you say only some cuts is it some of these longer cuts?

Maybe some kind of a air delivery issue on the longer cuts?

highland 2.nc (614.3 KB) It shouldn’t be air delivery….I just got a new air compressor Ingersoll Rand 60gal 5hp. Yes, they are some of the longer cuts. Other than skipping…these are some of the cleanest cuts I’ve done with the machine. I just also installed a machine torch.

The file looks good

Can you remind us what plasma cutter you’re using?

Maybe a solenoid or regulator problem?

Primeweld Cut60

At least that cut in the lower, center of the image looks like the non-cut occurred at the end of a Closed Loop. Is that correct? If so, do you have some lengthy Lead-Out set?

It maybe the Lead-In…I had Lead-out unchecked…but noticed that I left the Lead-in set to default 0.19685 in…usually I set that to 0 in like their tutorial video.

No lead-out torch is raising then shutting off before the end of cut.

@mnicolia is the NC file the one you used in the picture? The NC file has a lead it where the picture is piercing at the line with no lead in .

Yeah, that’s the same file….maybe I’m thinking wrong. I just recently had a heart attack and haven’t used my machine in awhile….it’s like relearning all over again.

Ok, I have a feeling it’s in the plasma machine…I made a different file, made sure to do a lead in and out….and it is still skipping spots…it’s when the torch starts a cut, and it’s intermittent.
