Echo what Tin said on hiding lead ins but I would move the lead into a corner, that way it has a straight run. Also, not sure on Fusion but Sheet cam you can do some funky things with the corners if you want to keep them sharp.

ever since the last update this green / red line & blue box keeps popping up every time I draw something, it use to just pop up when you first start a new design and select the location - did I click something to toggle this on somehow ? pics below
This is because you have the 3D sketch box selected so every time you draw a new entity it’s trying to find out which axis you want to apply that geometry too. Deselect 3D sketch from the menu on the right hand side and this will stop happening for you. Unless you actually need to do 3D sketch then that pop-up will happen every time.
Currently it’s grayed out because you’re actively trying to use a line tool. If you hit the escape key the ability to select the box will not be grayed out anymore.
