Powermax 900 machine torch options

Hello All, I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet for a machine torch for my old workhorse Powermax 900. All I see available to purchase for my PM900 is an actual Hypertherm retrofit #228920 machine torch for $900±

I did a quick search of the forum looking for other options but did not see any alternatives although the internet did make mention of someone on this forum that 3D printed parts to make an old PAC125T handtorch into a machine torch but I can’t find it.

That is the correct part number.

The other option would be using a hypertherm 45 XP torch shell and torch head assembly.
These can be bought as two separate part numbers from hypertherm. And with a little bit of work could retrofit your existing leads from the plasma cutter.

By any chance could you send me a good picture of the torch’s connector, so I can see were the pins are. I have a few machine torch’s here but they are not marked for what plasma cutter they are for. I know the older Hypertherm and Miller took the same connector.
